Our History

Initially named A-OK Filter, our company was founded in 1969 as a filter distributor, selling and marketing for different manufacturers. Fifteen years hence, we began manufacturing our own line of air filters.

Bret Methvin purchased A-OK Filter in 1991 and changed the name of the company to OK Filter Company, Inc. We relocated from a small space in downtown Catoosa to our current location, just off 145th East Avenue.

At OK Filter Company, we continue to learn about the ever-changing filter industry, and have expanded our line to include carbon filters, mini pleats, and even geothermal filters. We have more exciting changes and additions coming soon!

Merv Rated Filters

We offer a wide range of Merv rated filters. MERV is the primary international air conditioner furnace filter industry standard and is used for rating the ability of a furnace filter to capture and hold particles and pollutants. The measurement used in these ratings is a Micrometer, or micron.

The Merv rating will determine what size particle the air filter will remove. Simply put, the higher the merv rating, the smaller the particle the filter will remove. Please consult your heating and air tech to purchase the correct merv rating for your system.

Our pleated air filters are made of synthetic materials that are electrostatically charged. These materials help attract and capture most airborne particulates. Our peated filters come with a sturdy beverage board frame that has diagonal support members bonded to the pleat pack for stability.

High-efficiency activated carbon filters that help eliminate smoke, pet smells, bathroom odors, from your home or business. Carbon filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. There is a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. The air filter media will not support the growth of mold or bacteria.
